Who is eligible for scholarship/mentorship under this scheme?
Ans
A student must meet the following eligibility criteria: The student must be domiciled in Himachal Pradesh and should be born on or after 01.01.2000 and before 01.01.2004, The student must have cleared 10+2 from HP State Education Board/ CBSE/ICSE recognized schools in HP, with requisite subjects Student must belong to either a BPL family or low income family with annual income less than 3 Lakhs Students availing scholarship/financial assistance/any other assistance under any other scheme sponsored and/or funded by any organisation private or government are not be eligible for assistance under this scheme There are additional parameters for qualifying under the scheme based on family background, academic history and terminal illness amongst the parents, please reach write to serve@omswami.org for more details

How can I apply for a scholarship under this scheme?

You can fill this application on this website, after obtaining/applying for admission in the selected course in any of the institutes in Himachal Pradesh, students who fulfil any/all other eligibility conditions can complete and submit the application form to Sri Badrika Ashram

What documents do I need to submit for applying?
Ans
The following documents have to be submitted along with the Application Form: a) Aadhar card b) Student identity card c) Mark sheets of 10th & 12th or previous semesters d) Certificate of 10th e) Family Income proof f) Domicile certificate of Himachal Pradesh

How can I check the status of my scholarship application?
Ans
You need to get in touch with —--------- to check the current status of your application. You will also be informed formally via an email/phone call.

What is the process for selection if my application is accepted?
Ans
We have a committee of members that carefully evaluates each application. We usually take a video interview of the student to assess the candidature, get an understanding if we can help and eventually finalise the amount. The respective students are formally communicated about the final decision of the committee via email.

Which streams/courses are eligible under this scheme?
Ans
We are open to all streams and courses, however, admission is restricted to undergraduate courses offered by the colleges and universities in Himachal Pradesh only. We offer scholarships to Sanskrit based courses as well.

How is the scholarship disbursed?
Ans
Scholarship amount will be transferred to the University’s designated account directly. A certificate from the University that student is not availing any other form of scholarship will be needed at the time of disbursement of funds

What is covered in mentorship under this scheme?
Ans
Professional and personalised guidance along with life skills mentoring will be provided to the selected students for their professional development

Will I be given career guidance or placement?
Ans
We ensure that each of our selected students gets the relevant career guidance as and when needed and we have tied up with professionals for this aspect. At the moment, we do not provide placement services.
